Our mission is to foster better relationships between our public safety members and the citizens of the Greater Columbus area.
"We get an impression that law enforcement or public safety are just not appreciated and in some areas of the country, it's worse than others but it needs to stop." said by Paul Voorhees during the opening press conference to launch Back Columbus Blue.
Voorhees also says he hopes to expand this initiative to include sheriff's deputies, marshals, and first responders in addition to the police department
All proceeds and donations go toward buying a holiday meal to the Columbus Blue and their families.
We're backing our Columbus Blue by providing food for the Columbus Police Department and their families.
Local business owner, Chaplain Paul Voorhees, along with City Leader Jed Harris, have founded a charitable non-profit organization called Back Columbus Blue. The organization is dedicated to fostering public support for the Columbus Police Department. Back Columbus Blue's first event will be to provide meals and fellowship with the CPD and their families on December 18th just in time for the holidays. There will be support packages to be purchased in order to provide donations to the cause. The support packages will include a yard sign, stickers, a shirt and the opportunity to participate in the event.
